QMD-HCD Partner To Improve Healthcare
The Quality Management Division is pleased to announce a partnership with the
Healthcare Division. HCD has healthcare experts with broad and deep knowledge
of clinical quality. At the same time, QMD has subject matter experts in multiple
quality methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Baldrige, ISO, etc.) which can improve hospital
operational quality.
While we remain independent ASQ divisions, it is our intention to pool knowledge
and resources in order to help hospitals reduce cost, improve efficiency, save
lives and create a better American healthcare system.
Effective immediately:
1 The HCD Chair or chair-elect will
serve as an advisor on the QMD Leadership Team
2 Our peer-reviewed newsletter (QM Forum) will be sent to all HCD members and
HCD members will contribute articles on quality in healthcare
3 QMD will work with HCD to develop a new quality in healthcare certification
4 We will work together to raise the visibility of ASQ in the healthcare community
A new logo will represent our partnership.
